Description
Mesa tables are fixed in one piece, so it is not possible to separate the table top and base for access.
Maintenance:
Leather tables by Heerenhuis are designed to develop a patina over time; they can be cleaned from time to time by wiping them with a damp cloth.
Scratches can be removed if desired. If you have some small scratches, rub vigorously with your thumb over the scratch till it disappears – or apply sparingly some colourless leather fat (eg. EFFAX Colourless leather fat, which can be bought in any equestrian shop). If you have many scratches, generously apply some leather fat over the entire table top and carefully warm the scratched leather with a hairdryer. Then wipe with cloth.
Teak tables by Heerenhuis are left with natural unfinished tops that are designed to develop a patina over time; they should be cleaned regularly with damp cloth and green soap. However, if you would like to remove grease or oil stains, then an oil remover such as Oil-Out may be used.
Particularly during the winter, but also when using air conditioning, relative humidity must be kept in mind. Relative humidity should ideally be between 50% and 60%. Less than 40% can lead to various types of damage, mainly cracks.
